Itinerary

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your city hotel. After check-in, you will head to Nairobi National Park for a half-day birding excursion. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Impala point or one of the park's picnic sites. The park is home to over 515 bird species within an area of 117 km².

After breakfast, we drive down the Rift Valley to Olorgesailie along Magadi Road, a typically hot area. Spend the day bird watching and enjoying a picnic before returning to the hotel for dinner and an evening of leisure.

Day 3 :
Naivasha

After breakfast, we leave Nairobi for Lake Naivasha, stopping at Manguo ponds to see various bird species. We will also pause at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for stunning views before arriving at Lake Naivasha for a bird walking safari. The lake, a freshwater body on the Rift floor, hosts over 450 bird species. After lunch, take a one-hour boat ride on the lake.

After breakfast, we depart for Lake Nakuru Park, renowned as a world-class ornithological spectacle. Here, we will look for two Kenyan endemics, Aberdare Cisticola and Sharpe’s Longclaw, and other specialties like Wing-snapping, Hunter’s, and Levaillant’s Cisticolas. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive, observing the park's wildlife, including Black and White Rhinos and Rothschild Giraffes.

Following breakfast, we head north to Lake Baringo. After a bird walk around the hotel and lunch, we will explore the cliffs to find the White-faced Scopes Owl, Black-throated Barbet, and Mouse-collared Tit.

Spend the day birding around Lake Baringo Conservation Area. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the lodge, and spend the evening at your leisure.

The Kakamega Forest, the only true tropical rainforest in Kenya, offers unique wildlife, birds, butterflies, and ancient trees.

After breakfast, take a morning bird walk along the Papyrus vegetation to see species like the Papyrus Gonolek and Swamp Flycatcher. Depart for Maasai Mara with a packed lunch, arriving in time for an evening game drive.

Day 14 :
Departure

After breakfast, check out and return to Nairobi. Enjoy lunch at the Carnivore restaurant before being transferred to the airport for your flight home.
