Overview
This 7-day/6-night safari takes you to one of the Rift Valley lakes in Turkana County, offering a scenic and activity-filled adventure at Lake Turkana and the site of the first human discovery. The safari concludes with visits to Saiwa Swamp and Mt. Elgon National Park.
Itinerary
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative, briefed on the safari, and transferred to Wilson Airport for your flight to Lodwar. At the airstrip, you will be met and driven to Lobolo Camp on the shores of Lake Turkana. After lunch, enjoy the rest of the afternoon taking in the scenery, culture, and people of Turkana.
DINNER AND OVERNIGHT AT THE CAMP
After breakfast, visit a Turkana village for a cultural experience, including dances. Return to the camp for an early lunch, then depart by boat for a 4-hour journey to the Koobi Fora Study Centre in Sibiloi National Park. Arrive at the banda in time for dinner and leisure.
DINNER AND OVERNIGHT AT THE BANDA
After breakfast, depart by vehicle with a Koobi Fora field guide to visit the Koobi Fora museum and famous fossil excavation sites. Return to the banda for lunch, followed by a game drive in Sibiloi National Park, where you can see zebras, Grant gazelles, lions, leopards, and more. Return to the banda for dinner and leisure.

After breakfast, take a 2-hour boat trip to Central Island National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit Flamingo Lake, Crocodile Lake, and Tilapia Lake. Return to the camp at Lake Turkana for dinner and a cultural dance.
DINNER AND OVERNIGHT AT THE CAMP
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Eldoret. On arrival, drive to Kitale, arriving in time for lunch. Visit the Saiwa Swamp National Park, home to the rare Sitatunga antelope and De Brazza's monkey. Other attractions include bird watching, plants, insects, reptiles, and amphibians. Return to the hotel for dinner and leisure.

After breakfast, embark on an adventure to Mt. Elgon National Park with a packed lunch. Attractions include the second largest mountain in Kenya, ancient lava tube caves, and the salt-mining elephants of Kitum Cave. Return to the hotel for dinner and leisure.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Nairobi.
